Dr. Stephanie Colon was born in Pisa, Italy, and raised near Annapolis, Maryland, alongside her older brother. Her family is originally from Puerto Rico, and she grew up speaking Spanish fluently. From a young age, she was active in gymnastics and soccer, and unlike most of her friends and family, she genuinely enjoyed going to the dentist. It was during college, while shadowing in a dental office, that she discovered her passion for dentistry.
Dr. Colon earned her undergraduate degree in General Biology from the University of Maryland in College Park and went on to graduate summa cum laude from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore. She finished at the top of her class, receiving multiple awards for clinical excellence. To further strengthen her training, she completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency through NYU Langone at a nonprofit clinical site in Nashville, Tennessee.
Dr. Colon’s commitment to helping others inspired her career in dentistry. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, especially her dog Cannoli. She is recently engaged and is excited to be planning a wedding soon in Puerto Rico with her fiancée!
